TECHNICAL DATA SHEET
MICRO ART AD 91
ACRYLIC SURFACE SEALER
1. DESCRIPTION
MICRO ART AD 91 is a sealing and waterproofing surface based on a 100% acry polymer with self-regulating new generation nanotechnology.
As its main characteristics, it distinguishes excellent penetration capacity, filling existing pores in the coating, good chemical resistance and also improves the color of the coating.
2. AREA OF USE
MICRO ART AD 91 is used on vertical or horizontal interior and exterior surfaces for filling pores of rigid finishing surfaces, promoting adhesion, painting and providing better performance of acrylic surface protectors such as varnishes, type MICRO ART AD 45 or MICRO ART AD 46.
MICRO ART AD 91 is used as a surface sealer in the MICRO ART system, preparing MICRO ART MC 01 or MICRO ART MC 02 for finishing MICRO ART AD 45 or MICRO ART AD 46 surface protectors or
Wax (wax) type MICRO ART AD 47. Can be used for the same function for decorative floors in the SCALA range, as well as in architectural elements executed with STRUCTURAL WHITE BETON and CONCRETE-S STRUCTURAL GREY.
MICRO ART AD 91 is applicable on cementitious substrates or stone elements, both indoors and outdoors.
3. PRODUCT FEATURES
GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS VALUE
Colorless liquid appearance, gloss finish
Density 1.03 ± 0.002 kg / m3
Average theoretical consumption (1) 12 m2 / l / layer
Drying time 3 hours (2)
Volatile organic compounds Directive 2004/42 / EC DL No. 181/2006 EU limit value for this product (cat A / g): 30 g / l 2010; DE: maximum 15 g / l
(1) Values are theoretical and do not include additional consumption due to substrate porosity, surface profile, variation in leveling,
etc.
(2) These values require constant humidity (max. 70%) and temperature (23°C).
4. APPLICATION
(a) Preparation of substrates
Surfaces must be dry, dust-free, free of solvents, disintegrated or unstable materials, efflorescence, as well as any type of material that affects normal adhesion.
(b) Application
Before application, the product should be stirred until completely homogenized.
Apply to substrate with a short hair roller, microfiber roller or brush.
Slowly pour the product onto the surface and spread the product in a circular motion, overlapping wet on wet. Allow to dry completely for at least 3 hours and then apply
then apply the desired surface protector.
After drying, sand the surface to remove any unevenness. In this case, the use of worn sandpaper / P400 is recommended to obtain a smoother texture.
(c) Limitations
The performance of the MICRO ART AD 91 must be respected as indicated above to ensure proper performance.
MICRO ART AD 91 must not be applied at ambient and surface temperatures below 10°C, above 30°C and relative humidity above 70%.
If the temperature is lower than 10°C and the relative humidity> 70%, curing is slower, so it will dry more slowly.
MICRO ART AD 91 must be protected from moisture, condensation and water for at least 7 days (at 20°C)
For indoor applications, rooms must be ventilated.
During dry weather or strong exposure to wind, facades should be protected to minimize direct wind action
The product should not be processed in rainy weather or in very high humidity or with expected rain in the 24 hours after application. These conditions may compromise the normal operation of the MICRO ART AD 91.
(d) Additional advice
Do not add other products to the MICRO ART AD 91 and this should be applied as presented in the original packaging.
5. PACKAGING AND VALIDITY
