Description
Compressor oil 0.6 L
Protecting the compressor is important to avoid problems. With oil you ensure that the compressor is well protected. Besides protection, oil also has a lubricating and cooling function. This compressor oil is suitable for all reciprocating compressors, even those working in harsh conditions, and meets the following classifications:
- DIN 51506 VDL (Protection against oxidation, air compression temperatures up to 220°C and Corrosion. Oil suitable for two-stage compressors);
- DIN 51506 VBL (Protection against oxidation, air compression temperatures up to 160°C and Corrosion);
- ISO 6743 L-DAA 100;
- ISO VG 100.
The oil will provide rapid lubrication at start-up, so the compressor is well protected right from the start. Compressor oil is poured directly into the machines at the factory. It is important for preserving the compressor.

Changing oil
It is best to change oil every other year or when the operating hours are made according to the manual. Before removing the oil from the compressor, run the compressor for a very short time. The oil will get warm, which will help it flow out of the oil reservoir. Always remember that the compressor is off and unplugged. Remove the oil plug and unscrew the drain plug. Use a container to catch the oil. When the sump is empty, screw the drain plug back in and fill the sump with oil. Always level it and never go over the maximum. If it does, drain oil out through the drain plug. Once done put the oil plug back in.
Oil gets cloudy and that causes things to clog up, making the compressor perform worse. And, of course, you don't want that. Changing oil is not very difficult. Learn more about compressor maintenance can be found here.
